Little Iron Man himself had his annual head check today. We tell his sister Katie that we go get his head checked so we can see if he still has brains. She giggles at that. Josh is pictured above with Dr. Menenzes who saved his life. The doc remembers Josh for his insatiable appetite that was caused by the steroids. Josh's tumor left a sizeable void inside his head. It is filled with scar tissue that we are told has not changed (good news) but he will keep an eye on it to make sure nothing creeps up.
The fun thing about our visit today was seeing the construction for the new Iowa Children's Hospital! It makes you dizzy looking down, but was SO cool to watch. How exciting! We can't wait to see the finished project in 2016. As you can see, Josh's scar shows here on the back of his neck. We have actually connected with other patients from the U of I who had the same doctor because of his scar! It tells a story that no tatto can.
Have a great day!

Mark Nickel - Awesome! What a brave little man and how fast he is growing up! We will see great things from Josh in the future, which is all thanks to the wonderful people at Children's Hospital!!
