Hello World,
My post title is for all you Harry Potter fans out there. When I think of my Josh, the book's popular "The boy who lived" quote comes to mind. Three years ago today he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Today he is healthy and well, praise God.
Upon his third anniversary of good health I have thought a lot about what to do with Little Iron Mom. The problem is I need to stop thinking and start doing and that is easier said than done. I've debated how to make this LIM idea come to life. Where do I start? How big is this project anyway? Then I run into yet another Mom with an amazing story and I feel like it should be told. I've decided this project is much bigger than me and I don't know where to start. I'm not about to think that I can define it, but I do firmly believe that it will define itself. So I'm going with the Field of Dreams theory...if I build it, they will come.
So with that three years of thinking behind me I have began collecting survival stories from other amazing moms and that is where I've stalled out. How can I expect others to share their story when I've not put mine out there? Even as a photographer I've found that people smile back when you simply smile AT them. So in an effort to get a great return out of my endeavor, I will start sharing my story over the next few days and weeks.
Lastly, as I reflect this time of year on how LUCKY we are to have Josh I promise I will tell MY story soon on LIM.
Goodnight!
LIM
